Baby Shower Games - Chance Games

Let’s see who is next in line to get lucky.

Pass the Present Game

The hostess starts with a gift which was wrapped numerous times with many layers of different colored paper. This game is played like musical chairs. When the music starts, the hostess passes the gift around the room. Every time the music stops, whoever has the gift removes a layer of wrapping paper. When the music restarts, the present gets passed around again. This continues until the last layer is removed, and the person holding the present gets to keep it.
Baby Statistics Game
Create a list of questions about the expected baby (you can also include funny questions for a more relaxed party) to give to each guest. Ask them to write down their guesses. Collect all sheets at the end and give them to mom. Once the baby is born, she will send the guest with the most correct answers a gift.
Here is a sample of questions:
Date and time of birth? ________________
Weight and length? ________________
Color of eyes and hair? ________________
Dad’s first words? ________________
Birthing Babies Game
Before the party, place tiny baby dolls in an ice tray, fill with water and freeze. At the party each guest gets a drink with one baby-to-be in each glass. The guests cannot bite the ice cube or suck on it. They have to patiently wait for the baby to be born. The first baby born wins a prize.
To get the baby to freeze in the center of the cube, you have to freeze it in two steps. For heavy babies that sink to the bottom, first fill half way and freeze, add baby, then fill the rest of the way and finish freezing. For light babies that float: first fill half way, add baby and freeze, then fill the rest of the way and finish freezing.
